Use your washing machine in the evenings, or through the night, then empty in the morning. Electric is cheaper during the night.
Only boil the amount of water that you need.
Use the correct size pan when cooking to fit the ring on your cooker. With a gas cooker the flames should not come up the sides of the pan.
Always put lids on pans, then you can cook on a lower heat.
Invest in a slow cooker, it is much cheaper than using a conventional cooker.
Defrost frozen food in the fridge over night, it is cheaper than using the microwave.
Defrost your freezer regularly, that way it will work more effectivly.
Make do with less heat. Turning down the room thermastat by 1 degree C can save up to 10% on your fuel bill, and you may not even notice the difference.
